Matthew P. Donelson is an experienced litigator who defends clients in premises, product, and professional liability, as well as employment law matters. In his more than 20-year career, Matthew has represented a variety of Fortune 500 companies and has tried, mediated, and arbitrated numerous cases in Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.
Matthew works closely with employers on risk mitigation strategies, employment policies, internal investigations, and compliance with workplace regulations. He also drafts and reviews employment agreements, handbooks, and non-compete provisions tailored to his clients’ operational needs. He is a certified mediator in Delaware.
Matthew began his legal career as an Assistant Prosecutor in Salem County, New Jersey, gaining significant trial experience early on. He later entered private practice, where he represented Fortune 500 companies in high-stakes litigation before state and federal courts. He has successfully tried numerous jury and bench trials to verdict.
Recognized by Delaware Today magazine as a 2023 “Top Lawyer,” Matthew has also been a speaker on multiple asbestos and employment law panels.
Beyond his law practice, Matthew previously served as the executive leader of a nonprofit organization in New Jersey dedicated to advancing workforce development and career training for individuals facing economic and physical challenges.
