Patrick Downey focuses his practice on the defense of commercial motor vehicle companies and their insurers. His experience spans commercial transportation, contract disputes, cargo claims, trucking liability defense, personal injury, and premises liability.
In litigation, Patrick represents multinational cargo delivery companies from the beginning of a dispute through the jury trial phase, mounting vigorous defenses against personal injury, catastrophic loss, breach of contract, and insurance coverage claims. He efficiently handles damage and loss claims and negotiates lease agreements.
Patrick has significant experience representing and consulting corporate clients as to insurance coverage disputes, defense and indemnification actions, and contractual enforcement through civil courts and alternative dispute resolution forums. He assists his clients in evaluating and drafting new contracts, as well as providing top-tier legal representation when disputes arise.
