Ryan McBride is the Professional Liability Practice Co-Managing Partner and a Regional Practice Group Leader. He is an accomplished litigator defending high-level actions with a primary focus on professional liability, including medical malpractice and legal malpractice, as well as general liability matters such as premises liability, products liability, and municipal liability. In the realm of medical malpractice, Ryan represents hospitals, health systems, physicians, ambulance companies, physician groups, and EMS providers, defending them against claims of catastrophic injury.
Ryan’s experience in general liability includes various areas, such as premises liability for businesses of all sizes, D&O liability, commercial liability, and dram shop liability. He also possesses extensive knowledge of municipal liability and adeptly applies associated immunities to his clients’ advantage.
Ryan also represents professionals in investigations before state licensing boards and regulatory agencies. He is committed to guiding his professional clients through these proceedings to ensure their reputations and careers are protected.
Ryan completed the 2023 International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) Trial Academy. The IADC is a highly selective, invitation‑only organization of approximately 2,500 attorneys and insurance executives worldwide, comprised of distinguished law firm partners, senior corporate and insurance counsel, and industry leaders. After completing the Trial Academy, Ryan remains highly engaged with the IADC, serving on several committees and contributing to the organization’s substantive and professional initiatives. He is the Pennsylvania representative on the IADC’s State Issues Committee, where he provides insight and leadership on Pennsylvania‑specific legal developments and its national and international implications.
In recognition of his experience and insight, Ryan was appointed to Law360’s Pennsylvania Editorial Advisory Board in both 2023 and 2026. He also serves as a board member of United Neighborhood Centers of Northeastern Pennsylvania. Ryan is a volunteer attorney with Lackawanna Pro Bono and serves on the Weber Gallagher Pro Bono Committee. Outside of his legal practice, Ryan coaches his kids in Little League and Tee Ball.
