Samantha Fitzgerald represents insurers in a wide range of coverage matters involving first- and third-party claims, declaratory judgment actions, bad faith allegations, and other complex insurance disputes. She also defends insured clients throughout all stages of litigation, including investigation, discovery, depositions, motion practice, alternative dispute resolution, and trial preparation.
Prior to joining Weber Gallagher, Samantha handled a diverse insurance coverage and defense caseload, representing clients in coverage disputes and litigation matters from inception through resolution. Earlier in her career, she gained experience in commercial litigation, real estate, corporate, bankruptcy, and securities matters, and served as a judicial intern to the Hon. Robert J. Thompson of the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County, Maryland.
Samantha has been named to the 2027 edition of Best Lawyers® Ones to Watch in America for Insurance Law. “Ones to Watch” awards are based purely on peer review and recognize extraordinary lawyers who have been in private practice for fewer than 10 years in the United States.
While in law school, Samantha served as Notes and Comments Editor of the Maryland Law Review and as Co-President of the Women’s Bar Association. She competed on the Alternate Dispute Resolution Team and was a student attorney for the Gender, Prison, and Trauma Clinic. Samantha is committed to community service and has volunteered with the PIVOT Expungement Clinic and completed training as a Maryland Court Appointed Counsel for Children.
