Walter J. O’Brien defends businesses, corporations, and insurance companies in matters throughout the State of Delaware. His wide-ranging experience includes litigating motor vehicle, premises, trucking, construction defect, toxic tort, and wrongful death cases. He has tried matters in every trial court of the State of Delaware. He has also been successful on appeal to the Delaware Supreme Court.
Walter is admitted to practice law in the State of Delaware, the United States District Court for the District of Delaware, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
He is a member of the Delaware State Bar Association where he serves as Secretary of the Torts and Insurance Section. Defended a workers’ compensation claim requesting compensability for neurosurgery to alleviate a subdural hematoma by arguing a violation of the statutory notice requirement and by challenging the expert medical evidence.
