Lisa Fitzgerald is a versatile attorney with a robust practice encompassing various areas of litigation, including product liability, commercial litigation, construction and labor law, construction defect claims, professional liability, and commercial transportation.

In her practice, Lisa defends manufacturers in both federal and state courts against claims involving design defects, manufacturing defects, breach of warranty, and failure to warn consumers. Lisa also represents contractors and building product manufacturers against claims of negligence, breach of contract and warranty, contribution, and indemnity in multi-million-dollar construction defect claims, including claims of sub-standard and non-compliant work, water intrusion, property damage, and economic loss.

Lisa’s experience extends to representing property owners, construction managers, and general contractors in claims pursuant to New York State Labor Law sections 200, 240, and 241(6), demonstrating her proficiency in navigating complex construction-related disputes. Furthermore, Lisa has a wealth of experience representing multinational corporations in business litigation, fraud, contractual disputes, toxic torts, class action litigation, and civil rights discrimination cases.

In addition to her legal practice, Lisa is passionate about education and has served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Hunter College, where she taught the political science course “Women and the Law.”

Lisa was included in the New York Metro Super Lawyers Rising Stars from 2015 to 2019.

Won summary judgment in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York dismissing breach of express warranty claims against Pennsylvania manufacturer.

Won summary judgment in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York dismissing plaintiff’s complaint pursuant to New York Insurance Law section 5104.

Won summary judgment in favor of a Brooklyn company sued for a fatal construction site accident, dismissing plaintiff’s New York State Labor Law claims

Won summary judgment in contractual indemnity claim in favor of Manhattan-based commercial real estate company.
