Haley Matthes focuses her practice on general liability, products liability, premises liability, dram shop, toxic tort litigation, and professional liability matters. Haley has extensive experience defending Fortune 500 companies, national trade associations, corporations, and school districts in complex litigation in state and federal courts.
Haley is skilled in all aspects of trial preparation and support, including motion drafting, depositions, and discovery. She has participated in trial teams for toxic tort matters and has a strong background in insurance defense, having previously practiced and clerked at regional defense firms in the Philadelphia area.
During law school, Haley interned for the Hon. Paula A. Roscioli in the Northampton County Court of Common Pleas. She was also a First State Merit Scholarship recipient and served as Vice President and Networking & Alumni Relations Chair for the Phi Alpha Delta Law Society.
While pursuing her undergraduate degree, Haley was captain of the NCAA Division I Women’s Tennis Team and co-founded the Lafayette Women in Law Society. Haley was also a member of the Athletic and Academic Honor Rolls, as well as the Phi Alpha Theta History Honors Society. Haley’s experience also includes internships with the Office of Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro, the Office of Senator Robert Casey, Jr., and the Office of Roderick Stewart, MP, in London, where she contributed to policy initiatives and legislative affairs.
