Ted Eder is a skilled litigator representing insurance companies, third-party administrators, and corporate clients throughout New York and New Jersey.
Ted has experience defending clients in a broad range of disputes, including workers’ compensation, product liability, asbestos, construction accident, property damage, consumer fraud, employment, wage and hour, and commercial litigation lawsuits in both state and federal courts. His clients are equally diverse, ranging from trucking and delivery companies and industrial equipment corporations to environmental contractors and property owners.
With a reputation as a litigation powerhouse, Ted has defended multiple corporate clients in over five thousand New York City Asbestos Litigation cases since 2002. He has extensive experience handling toxic exposure cases involving mold, asbestos, formaldehyde, benzene, silica, and other chemical substances.
Ted has also been the lead attorney in federal employment wage & hour class action cases in the Southern District of New York, and has notable experience defending claims of misclassification of employees as independent contractors. Ted is presently lead defense counsel in a New Jersey state class action affecting the transportation industry in New Jersey. The vast breadth of Ted’s practice demonstrates his intellect and adaptability, and makes him a savvy advocate for his clients.
Before joining Weber Gallagher, Ted served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel and trial attorney for the City of New York, Bronx Torts Division. This experience gave him a valuable perspective of the legal landscape from both sides of a dispute and enhances the strategies that he now employs for his clients.
